Each group will create a display in the form of a graphic organizer. Graphic organizers can be timelines, flow charts, graphs, concept maps, etc. The display must include several pictures, charts, maps, and/or graphs for visual description. The displays will be used oral presentation. All group members must take part in the creation and presentation of the given subject. Excessive absence and/or absence during the oral presentation will result in the expectation of a written assignment. Please let your group’s members know if you will be absent during this time and make alternate plans to get your work to them. Members will be graded individually.

 This assignment is designed to help you make relevant connections between your current study of biology and how genetics can profoundly influence the quality of our lives and the environment in which we live.  This investigation into current events involving genetics will require connections to content details we have been studying over the last several weeks.  See class handout for additional guidelines.

It is recommended that you utilize our collection of academic databases to access news articles and scholarly journals. You will need the username/password given to you earlier this year (sticker handout).  Databases can be filtered by date to limit to the past 6 months.

Change and Continuity Over Time



Assignment: Write a CCOT essay that addresses the question below

Question: Analyze the changes and continuities in the formation and influence of transnational organizations for cooperation from 1910-Present.  Choose one transnational organization:
United Nations,Warsaw Pact, League of Nations, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, North American Free Trade Agreement


Thesis MUST address change, continuity and analysis of why change or continuity  occurred throughout the time period given and region(s).  Be sure to use the CCOT thesis formula provided for you. See your class handout for additional directions and rubric.

Tip: Give specific evidence (Events, developments, people, conferences, treaties, wars, etc.) to support your thesis.
